There is ample parking in the field accessible via a gate off Elmore Lane West approx. 200m before the left hand turn into Hollow Lane. The field is very well drained, but please drive with caution and follow the Marshal instructions
This parking will be open from 6pm.
Please park considerately
There are 2 Portable Toilets available in the field.
NOTE: We have been asked by the landowners not to use their bushes as toilets, therefore you will be disqualified from this race and any future Allrunners Events if found doing so.
Baggage should be left in your car, but you can place small items, such as clothing into the vehicle that is going to the finish line, however at your own risk
A route map will be available at the venue, but there are plenty of signs around the course. Also all road junctions will be marshalled or suitably have warning signs, but marshals are not there to help you cross the road and are by law not allowed to interfere with road traffic. You cross all roads (this includes Junctions even though you are on the main road/pavement) at your own risk, so please look left, look right and again before crossing the road.
The Start is in the field adjacent to Hollow Farm. Please line up 10 minutes before the start of your race in an order approximately suiting your ability, but don’t panic as the first 1/2 Mile is wide with plenty of room to give you the opportunity to find your pace.
The start time of this event will be set after the bore on Friday morning, but it is expected to be 8:45pm
Once the starting gun has been sounded, you ‘ll need to cross the Chip Timing Mat at the Start Line. Please ensure you remain inside the marked area, otherwise you may not get recorded.
If you have a problem or need advise please ask a Marshal who will assist you.
There is 1 Water Stations at approx halfway on the river bank, which will have water available as well as basic First Aid.
The road to Weir Green (The Finish) is closed by the Police due to the fact that it is a private road and there is no parking available. If you have supporters who wish to meet you at the finish then they should walk there.
Once the Bore has passed Weir Green (The Finish) the river bank gradually begins to flood. You have about 30mins before it burst it’s banks. At 45 mins the finish area is not accessible from the riverbank, so a Marshal will direct you through the local farm onto the lane and to the finish lane, adding about 300m to your race, but no need to swim!
Ironically, many spectators leave immediately after the bore, but the most impressive part of the Bore, is the following hour as the tide picks up speed and floods the river bank.
Medals, Food & Drink
Medals, awards and your post run food will be available at the finish line.
First of all you need to walk back to your car approx 3/4 mile. Simply walk from the river along the lane to a T-junction with Elmore Lane West and turn left. Hollow farm is approx. 1/2 Mile on the right.
NOTE: The road via Stonebench to Quedegeley will be closed by the Police for at least 1 hour after high tide, so you should drive back to Hardwicke past the Pilot Inn.
